halfway thru tour

hey yall. haven't posted a lot on here because i was going to get the canada pics developed and put them on here but i forgot about that and thus forgot about writing on this thing too. anyway i am halfway thru this lil 4 (or 5) show tour i'm doing right now and wanted to write a little about it and share some pictures.

i played reed college's renn fayre in portland at the end of april. tomu (a fantastic producer and incredible promoter) set it up and i still cant believe that my first time on the west coast ever was to play a show and meet people i'm friends with on the internet. i played in a little tent called green lodge and people would pass thru it and dance to whoever was playing. it was dope seeing a bunch of people dressed up in costumes dancing past me as i played. i can't wait to visit again, maybe next time i'll also get to see california? who knows

on saturday, i played the wired goat vista in columbia with my friends jeff (aka boy band), stephen, and gibbes. columbia is a very weird city, and it was also incredibly hot and humid when we were there, so we spent most of our time inside or in a confused haze. the dates on this tour are spread out quite nicely and i realized that when i woke up on sunday morning and groggily drove back to asheville where i got to rest instead of labor through a set. that being said, i would not turn down any (paid) tour dates people throw at me ;)

that last pic is me with a lizard on my back and i also look like the glasses kid from recess, haha. anyway, i'm playing london, ontario in 3 days(!!!) at evac. here is a facebook page with more details and a poster that i made. hope to see a lot of old faces and new faces dancing into the nite...
