halfway thru tour

hey yall. haven't posted a lot on here because i was going to get the canada pics developed and put them on here but i forgot about that and thus forgot about writing on this thing too. anyway i am halfway thru this lil 4 (or 5) show tour i'm doing right now and wanted to write a little about it and share some pictures.

i played reed college's renn fayre in portland at the end of april. tomu (a fantastic producer and incredible promoter) set it up and i still cant believe that my first time on the west coast ever was to play a show and meet people i'm friends with on the internet. i played in a little tent called green lodge and people would pass thru it and dance to whoever was playing. it was dope seeing a bunch of people dressed up in costumes dancing past me as i played. i can't wait to visit again, maybe next time i'll also get to see california? who knows

on saturday, i played the wired goat vista in columbia with my friends jeff (aka boy band), stephen, and gibbes. columbia is a very weird city, and it was also incredibly hot and humid when we were there, so we spent most of our time inside or in a confused haze. the dates on this tour are spread out quite nicely and i realized that when i woke up on sunday morning and groggily drove back to asheville where i got to rest instead of labor through a set. that being said, i would not turn down any (paid) tour dates people throw at me ;)

that last pic is me with a lizard on my back and i also look like the glasses kid from recess, haha. anyway, i'm playing london, ontario in 3 days(!!!) at evac. here is a facebook page with more details and a poster that i made. hope to see a lot of old faces and new faces dancing into the nite...

"e," music video

just had the music video for my new single, "e," premiere over at half gifts. this took a few weeks to do and i am very grateful for everyone who helped and supported me as i frantically ran around and shot off fireworks, danced in a bathroom, etc. you can watch it below:

back to canada

i'm going on a short canadian tour with my friend soda-pop starting in montreal, qc this saturday. there's gonna be music and visuals from both of us, and we'll both probably have a drink with you if you ask us. here are the dates:

• jan 2 - montreal, qc @ poisson noir (with doffing & carla sagan) $5
• jan 3 - london, on @ hope haus (free but donations are welcome)
• jan 4 - windsor, on @ happy haus (with hustle flesh & alrightrunner) $5

i can't wait to see canada again. i'll be sure to take lots of pictures for the blog! hope everyone is doing well. 2015 was pretty cool but it's gonna be very nice kicking off the new year by playing a bunch of shows. hopefully a sign of what's to come.

new music and hitting the road again

hey everybody,

sorry for not keeping my little corner of the internet updated too well. a lot has happened since pittsburgh: the new bohemian closed down (r.i.p), i finished my second album as hearts bonfire, put out a single, turned 20 (wow!), and now i'm working on booking a couple of shows for december and january. if all works out, i'll be traveling along the east coast and canada this winter with a few good friends of mine. i'll be sure to post the details as i get them. the best way to stay in touch with what i'm up to is through my facebook page, but this blog is probably where i'll be posting pictures and little tour diaries.

anyway, my new single is called "my vegan dog" and you can download it for free here. it also comes with a remix from sloww lyfe and a little instrumental i made over the summer. my second album is called "millennium electronics" and it's coming out on cassette and digital november 27th through memory number 36. you can pre-order it here.

pittsburgh

i had a lot of fun (maybe too much fun) in pittsburgh this weekend. shoutout to nic for arranging the whole thing and also to all of the really cool people who played. it was a crazy seven hours but i wouldn't have missed it for the world. hope to be on the road again very soon!!

summer update

hi y'all

i'm hitting the road in 9 days and i am very excited!! i will be playing the new bohemian in pittsburgh on june 12th, and hopefully a show in brooklyn the day after. right now, i'm working on getting my live show in order, as well as working on my 2nd album. i'm halfway done, and i'll try to play a couple of the new songs at my shows. hopefully i'll also have shirts and other stuff to sell as well.
